About
Dr.(Capt.) ANJANA SHARMA, working as Associate Professor & Head in Computer Applications, GDC KHOUR. She has joined Higher Education Dept. in Oct 2006. Her research area includes Image Processing, Human Computer Interaction; Eye gaze Interaction etc. She has number of international and national paper publications in various peer reviewed journals in her research area.
She has worked as Cyber Crime Jagrookta Nodal Coordinator for two years and also served as Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Coordinator, IIT Delhi, a project by MoE in her previous GGM Science College. She has also served as Nodal Coordinator of Virtual Lab, Jammu Division, an initiative by IIT Bombay to provide a complete Learning Management System around the Virtual Labs where the students can avail the various tools for learning, including additional web-resources, video-lectures, animated demonstrations and self-evaluation.
She is also convener and member of various committees like online admission and counselling, Discipline, ESamrath, Prospectus, cultural, magazine and other departmental committees constituted from time to time.
She worked as commissioned Senior most Captain in NCC in whole Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate, and served NCC since 2007. She has also received plaque of Honor for standing first in order in All India Pre Commission for Lieutenant rank in OTA Gwalior in 2010 in NCC. She has got appreciation awards from ADG NCC and Group Commander JK&L Directorate for actively participating in many NCC activities and attending Republic Day camp in 2021 during the pandemic. She has attended three RDC’s at Delhi since 1994 in college days as Best Cadet and Rajpath from J&K DTE, 2012 and 2021 as ANO from JK&L DTE, the most prestigious national camp of one month duration at Garrison Parade ground at Delhi Cantt.
Under her guidance hundreds of girl cadets has been trained to develop qualities of character, courage, discipline, leadership, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and selfless services to make them responsible citizens. The cadets are organized, trained into a motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the nation.The girl cadets were also trained for attending international and National NCC camps like YEP, RDC SNIC, EBSB’s etc.
